Baff - Baff

Doch solltest du das nicht kennen, mußt du dich doch deshalb nicht grämen

Denn «baff» sein bedeutet überrascht zu sein

Und willst du mir das nicht glauben, schau in den Duden rein

Ist man baff, ja dann schaut man oft saudumm aus der Wäsche

Bleibt angewurzelt stehen oder hat ne Sperre in der Fresse

Baff sein heißt «O Mann, ich krieg’s nicht ein»

Ich hoffe, du kennst es auch, dieses Feeling baff zu sein

Wir sind baff

Schön und gut, sagst du nun, doch was hat es für ein Ziel

Baff zu sein, denn baff ist man über viel

Über ne Leistung, über nen Stau, über die Natur, über ne Frau

Übers Wetter, über Geld, eigentlich über alles in der Welt

Baff sein ist in, schaust du etwas genauer hin

Denn wär man nicht manchmal baff

Wär die Welt nur halb so schön

Doch Überraschungen dieser Art sind ziemlich klein

Gegen das, weshalb sichs lohnt, einmal wirklich

Baff zu sein

Wir sind baff

Baff ist man heute, doch baff war man schon gestern

Zum Beispiel dieser Mann und ein paar aufgescheuchte Schwestern

Sie schauten in das Loch, in dem man ihren Chef begrub

Was sie sahen, war so heftig, das es ihnen den Atem verschlug

Der Mann war weg, nicht mehr tot, denn er war raus

Am nächsten Tag stand er sogar in ihrem Haus

Und genau das ist es, was uns baff macht, es war mehr als nur Legende

Dieser Mann ist nicht tot und er füllt uns die Hände

Deshalb sind wir baff

Stand rooted to the spot or have a lock in your face

All well and good, you say, but what is the goal

To be flabbergasted, because one is flabbergasted about a lot

About a performance, about a traffic jam, about nature, about a woman

About the weather, about money, actually about everything in the world

Being flabbergasted is in, take a closer look

Because if you weren't sometimes flabbergasted

If the world were only half as beautiful

But surprises of this kind are quite small

Against what makes it worthwhile, really

to be stunned

We're flabbergasted

One is flabbergasted today, but one was flabbergasted yesterday

For example this man and a couple of scared sisters

They looked into the hole where their boss was buried

What they saw was so intense it took their breath away

The man was gone, no longer dead because he was out

The next day he was even in her house

And that's exactly what baffles us, it was more than just a legend

This man is not dead and he fills our hands

That's why we're flabbergasted
