Für mich begann das Jahr mit Beziehungsdram’n

An Silvester die Trennung nach über sieben Jahr’n

Ich warf mein Gras endlich weg und verließ die Stadt

Zurück nach Düsseldorf am Rhein, ich war wieder da

Jakob hatte depressive Phase

Und der Plan war: Wir beide, wir zieh’n zusamm’n

«Lass ma' treffen die Tage und Hip-Hop machen!»

Das war ohne Scheiß das Letzte, was ich ihm sagte

Nach sei’m Tod sind wir in Schockstarre verfall’n

Aber schnell war klar, wir stecken jetzt den Kopf nicht in den Sand

Es war noch nicht vorbei, ich hab' mit Dan und Tobi diskutiert

Wir hab’n geweint und uns das Antilopen-Logo tättowiert

Yeah, plötzlich schauten auch die Medien auf uns

Jeder hatte jetzt 'ne Meinung über jeden unsrer Moves

Doch wir wussten, was zu tun war, wussten, was wir fühlen

Jeder Gig endet im Desaster wegen Schnaps

Fast kein Veranstalter aus dem Sommer ruft noch einmal an

In Berlin komm’n sogar paar A&Rs auf das Konzert

Doch bis März hatten die Ratten noch nie was von uns gehört

Eine Stunde nach der Show liegt ein Security schon auf dem Boden

Wir schrieben täglich an den Demos für die Lopi-Platte

Schworen uns die Gang großzumachen!

On New Year's Eve, the separation after more than seven years

I finally threw away my weed and left town

Back to Düsseldorf am Rhein, I was there again

Jakob had a depressive phase

And the plan was: the two of us, we'll move in together

That was the fucking last thing I said to him

After his death we fell into shock

But it quickly became clear that we would not stick our heads in the sand

Everyone now had an opinion about each of our moves

But we knew what to do, knew what we were feeling
