Сегодня, увы, я не буду таким, как вчера

К чему повторять всё то, что вчера было спето?

Я буду один и я буду бродить до утра

Опять провожать уходящее лето

Вчера ещё не было лету конца:

Оно, как и мы, умирать не умеет,

Но падают, падают листья, как слёзы с лица

Лишь станет чуть-чуть холоднее…

Как мало нам нужно порой, чтоб навеки уйти!

Не верим, не ждём за зелёное лето расплаты,

Но дни всё короче, и осень у нас на пути

Встаёт календарною датой

И каждой весной я в сомненье брожу сам не свой

Не верю ни лесу пустому, ни голому полю,

А будет ли всё так, как было вчерашней весной

И хватит ли сил, чтобы снова пробиться на волю?

Today, alas, I will not be the same as yesterday

Why repeat everything that was sung yesterday?

Saying goodbye to the summer again

Yesterday was not yet the end of the summer:

It, like us, does not know how to die,

But the leaves are falling, falling like tears from the face

It just gets a little colder...

How little we sometimes need to leave forever!

We do not believe, we do not expect retribution for the green summer,

But the days are getting shorter, and autumn is on our way

Rises on a calendar date

And every spring I wander in doubt myself not my own

I do not believe either the empty forest or the bare field,

And will everything be as it was yesterday spring

And will there be enough strength to break free again?
