Из гнезд насиженных,

От Колымы

До моря Чёрного

Слетались птицы на болота

В место гиблое.

На кой туда вело —

Бог, леший ведает.

Тянулись косяки

К гранитным рекам,

В небо-олово.

В трясину-хлябь

На крыльях солнце несли,

На чёрный день

Лучей не прятали,

А жили жадно,

Так, словно к рассвету расстрел.

Транжирили

Руду непопадя,

Делили с прорвою,

Роднились с пиявками,

Да гнезда вили в петлях виселиц.

Вверяли голову,

Кресты нательные.
