День сменялся днем

Берег врос в его дом

Из цветного песка

Что дала река

Пас овец в траве

Пчел пускал к себе

И ладонь широка

Как внизу река

Пес вилял хвостом

Значит, хочет в дом

Заходи, пока

Не затекла река

И орел, голубой,

Как его небеса,

Охраняет века

За орлом река

У нее много сил и дел,

Человек там и пил и ел

И лаская ее бока

Ей шептал: Ты моя река

Он хотел ей сказать еще

Что вся жизнь его для нее

И, если сохнут твои берега,

То приди и возьми ее.

Было лето, дышалось легко

Наш герой не ходил далеко

Да зачем уходить пока

Не заблестит река

Но случилась над летом ночь

Увлекая героя прочь

Обдувая его свысока:

Не узнает твоя река.

Все хватали ее за хвост

Пес не пускал на мост

И орел клевал ей бока

И кричала вся в слезах река.

Он вернулся дней через пять

И друзей захотел обнять

Только ворон встречал дурака

Вся иссохлась твоя река…

У нее много сил и дел,

Человек там и пил и ел

И лаская ее бока

Ей шептал: Ты моя река

Он хотел ей сказать еще

Что вся жизнь его для нее,

Но хотеть — еще не сказать

Раз уйти — много раз продать…
