Fenn egy király, a földön egy bolond

Körül sok nép, meg milliónyi gond

A bolond jön, és ô zavarja szét

Szép jutalmul megkapja kenyerét

Régi nevét már elfelejtették

Régi eszét már rég elvesztették

Ezért ugrál, nyakában kis kolomp

Rajta nevet és jókedv lesz a gond

Nagy a király és minden ember fél

Csak a bolond él úgy, ahogy beszél

Éjjel alszik, de nappal tudja jól

Van sok bolond és oly kevés a trón

Fenn kôszobor, a földön egy virág

Jó kismajmok a bolondnak hozzák

Az idô száll, s a kôszobor ledôl

De a virágból még sok új virág nô

Upstairs is a king, a fool on earth

It is surrounded by many peoples and millions of troubles

The fool comes and he disturbs him

He receives his bread as a nice reward

His old name has already been forgotten

His old mind has long been lost

That's why he bounces, a little bang on his neck

It will be a name to laugh at and have fun with

The king is great and all men are afraid

Only the fool lives the way he speaks

He sleeps at night but knows well during the day

There are many fools and so few on the throne

Upstairs stone statue, a flower on the ground

Good little monkeys bring it to the fool

Time flies and the stone statue falls

But many new flowers grow from the flower
