Omega is a Hungarian rock band formed in 1962 in Budapest. The band became one of Hungary's most iconic bands, playing a key role in the development of rock music in the country. Omega is known for its experiments in progressive rock and hard rock. Among their most popular songs is "Gyöngyhajú lány" which received international acclaim. The band performed actively for several decades, ending its activity in 2021. Omega made a significant contribution to the popularization of rock music in Eastern Europe.
