der Sonnenstrahl mich muede macht

ich glaub ich schlaf jetzt ein…

in weiter Ferne ein Schuss ertoent

ich springe auf

und erschrocken sehe ich

es ist ja KRIEG…

in the reeds by the pond

me sitting

think of fame and glory

startled by my excitement

Flocks of birds move on...

the sunbeam makes me tired

I think I'm going to sleep now...

a shot was heard far away

i jump up

and frightened I see

it's WAR...
