Yoshiki is a Japanese musician, composer, songwriter, and producer, born November 20, 1965. He is best known as the drummer and keyboardist for the rock band X Japan , considered one of the founders of the visual kei genre. After disbanding in 1997, X Japan reunited in 2007 to record the soundtrack to Saw IV, subsequently releasing several singles and touring worldwide. In 2000, Yoshiki launched his solo project, Violet UK , and in 2007, he formed the supergroup SKIN , which performed a one-off concert in Los Angeles. His contribution to the development of visual kei and contemporary classical music remains significant.
