Yasutaka Nakata is a Japanese composer, DJ, and music producer born on February 6, 1980. He is the founder of the group Capsule , formed in 1997 with vocalist Toshiko Koshijima, with Nakata himself serving as composer and producer. The group officially debuted in 2001. Since 2003, Yasutaka Nakata has produced the pop group Perfume , which has brought him widespread recognition. He has also collaborated with artists such as Ami Suzuki and Meg , and created remixes for m-flo and Leah Dizon . In partnership with Yamaha he founded the label contemode . Yasutaka Nakata has had a significant influence on the development of J-pop and electronic music in Japan.
