Wolfchant is a German folk metal band founded in 2003. Despite their origins, the band draws inspiration from Scandinavian legends, reflected in their early demos The Fangs of the Southern Death and The Herjan Trilogy ." Their debut album, Bloody Tales of Disgraced Lands received critical acclaim, and the subsequent release, A Pagan Storm cemented their position in the scene. Their third album, Determined Damnation was released with the support of Massacre Records , allowing the band to expand their lineup and audience. Wolfchant have made significant contributions to the development of folk metal, combining elements of black metal with melodic guitar lines.
