Webbie is an American rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, born in 1985. He has been signed to the independent label Trill Entertainment since 2003. Webbie gained prominence in 2005 with the track "Gimme That" featuring Bun B. His songs "Bad Bitch" and "Swerve" were featured on the 2003 group album Gangsta Musik with Lil Boosie, and in the 2005 film Hustle & Flow. His second album, Savage Life 2, released in 2008, included the hit single "Independent" with Lil Boosie and Lil Phat. Webbie has made a significant impact on Southern hip-hop with his raw and authentic style.
