Удо Юргенс (real name Удо Юрген Боккельманн ) is an Austrian singer and composer, born on September 30, 1934. He became one of the key figures in the German-language pop music scene of the second half of the 20th century, working in the pop and chanson genres. Удо Юргенс gained international recognition after winning the Евровидение Contest in 1966 with the song "Merci, Chérie" During his career, he released over 50 albums and wrote hundreds of songs, many of which became hits. His work had a significant influence on the development of European popular music.
