Tim Lambesis (Timothy Peter Lambesis) is an American rock musician born on November 21, 1980. He is a founding member and the lead vocalist of the metalcore band As I Lay Dying . In addition to his main band, Lambesis formed the side project Austrian Death Machine , where he performs as a multi-instrumentalist. He also founded the death metal band Pyrithion and played guitar in the bands Society's Finest and Point of Recognition . His work has had a significant influence on the development of the metalcore scene, combining aggressive riffs with melodic elements.
