Tiamat is a Swedish band formed in 1989. Its founder, vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and songwriter Юхан Эдлунд , remains the band's only constant member. In their early stages, Tiamat performed doom/death metal with growling vocals, but with the release of Wildhoney in 1994, the band shifted its focus to a more melodic gothic metal with elements of psychedelic rock. Later, their sound developed elements of traditional gothic rock. Tiamat made a significant contribution to the development of gothic metal, becoming one of the genre's key bands.
