The Beautiful South was an English alternative rock band formed in 1988 by former members of The Housemartins, Paul Heaton and Dave Hemingway. The group also included Sean Welch, Dave Stead, and Dave Rotheray, with vocalists Briana Corrigan, Jacqui Abbott, and Alison Wheeler contributing over the years. Known for their witty and often satirical lyrics, their hits include "Song for Whoever", "A Little Time", and "Perfect 10". The band disbanded in 2007, leaving a lasting impact on the British pop and rock scene.
