The Beach Boys is an American rock band formed in 1961 in California. The group originally consisted of brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. Later, Bruce Johnston joined the lineup. Influenced by early rock and roll and 1950s vocal groups, they became pioneers of the California Sound. Their hits, including "Good Vibrations", "Surfin' USA", and "Wouldn't It Be Nice", remain iconic.
