Syd, born Sydney Bennett on April 23, 1992, is an American singer and songwriter known for her work in alternative, soul, and R&B. She first gained recognition as a member of the alternative hip-hop collective Odd Future before founding her own band, The Internet, in 2011. In 2017, Syd released her debut solo album, Fin, followed by the EP Always Never Home. Her second album, Broken Hearts Club, was released in 2022. Syd has made significant contributions to modern R&B, blending genres and showcasing her unique artistry.
