Thundercat , born Stephen Lee Bruner , is an American bassist, singer, and songwriter from Los Angeles, born in 1984. He began his career as a member of the crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies and later released four solo studio albums. Thundercat is known for his collaborations with producer Flying Lotus and his contribution to rapper Кендрика Ламара album To Pimp a Butterfly .
