
Stanley Black (1913–2002) was an English bandleader, composer, conductor, arranger, and pianist. Originally from Great Britain, he began his career in the 1930s, collaborating with American jazz musicians such as Коулмен Хокинс and Бенни Картер . He later shifted his focus to Latin American arranging and recording. Stanley Black wrote numerous film scores and recorded extensively for the Decca label. His classical conducting also earned him recognition and awards. Stanley Black left a significant mark on jazz, pop, and film music.
