
Slim Gaillard (1916–1991) was an American jazz singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born in the United States. He played piano, guitar, vibraphone, and tenor saxophone. Slim Gaillard became known for his comedic vocals and unique wordplay on the "Vout-o-reenie" language, which he invented and even created a dictionary for. Among his most famous compositions are "Flat Foot Floogie" and "Cement Mixer" His work had a significant influence on jazz, blues, and early R&B, adding elements of humor and innovation to these genres.
