Simple Plan is a Canadian rock band formed in Montreal in late 1999. The quintet, composed of francophone members from Quebec, derived their name from the 1998 film "A Simple Plan". Known for their alternative rock and pop-punk sound, the band has released five studio albums and three live albums. Their most commercially successful records, "No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls" and "Still Not Getting Any...", sold approximately two million copies in North America. Simple Plan's releases have charted globally, with the latter album ranked eighth among the top 10 pop-punk albums. The band has significantly contributed to the pop-punk genre with their energetic and relatable music.
