Shantel (real name Stefan Hantel ) is a German musician, record producer, and DJ, born on March 2, 1968. He is known for his electronic remixes of traditional Balkan music, as well as his collaborations with Romani brass bands. A descendant of refugees from Romanian Bukovina, Shantel combined elements of folk and electronic music to create a unique style. His album "Disko Partizani" became an international hit, and the track of the same name gained popularity on dance floors worldwide. Shantel has made a significant contribution to the popularization of Balkan music in contemporary electronic culture.
