
Fanfare Ciocarlia is a Balkan Romani brass band from the village of Zece Prăţini in northeastern Romania. Founded in 1990, the group consists of twelve musicians who perform energetic music with characteristic complex rhythms and virtuoso staccato solos on clarinet, saxophone, and trumpet. Fanfare Ciocarlia has gained international renown through their live performances and participation in major festivals, as well as collaborations with other artists. Their work has significantly contributed to the popularization of Balkan music on the global stage.
