Satyricon is a Norwegian black metal band founded in 1990. The band consists of two permanent members, Сатир and Фрост , along with session and live musicians. Satyricon became one of the key bands of the second wave of Norwegian black metal, releasing landmark albums like "Nemesis Divina" With the release of "Rebel Extravaganza" their music acquired a more mainstream appeal, and subsequent releases regularly entered the mainstream charts. Today, Satyricon remains one of the most commercially successful bands in the genre, alongside Dimmu Borgir , continuing to influence the development of black metal.
