Российский национальный оркестр (RNO) is an academic musical ensemble from Russia, founded in 1990 by pianist Михаилом Плетнёвым . It is the first non-governmental symphony orchestra in the post-Soviet period. РНО has received international recognition for its recordings and performances, collaborating with leading conductors and soloists. Among its achievements are Grammy awards and participation in prestigious festivals such as BBC Proms . The orchestra performs masterpieces of world classical music, as well as works of Eastern music, making a significant contribution to the development of classical music. РНО continues to be one of the leading ensembles on the world stage.
