Roy Hargrove (full name: Roy Anthony Hargrove ) is an American jazz trumpeter, born October 16, 1969, in the United States. He is a two-time Грэмми Award winner in various musical genres. Hargrove led the progressive band RH Factor , which combined elements of jazz, funk, hip-hop, soul, and gospel. The band's members included Chalmers "Spanky" Alford, Pino Palladino , James Poyser , Jonathan Batiste , and Bernard Wright . His manager was Larry Clothier . Hargrove has had a significant influence on modern jazz, expanding its boundaries and fusing diverse styles.
