Роберт Рождественский (Robert Stanislavovich Petkevich) was a Russian, Soviet, and Russian poet, translator, and songwriter, born on June 20, 1932. His work spanned a wide range of genres, including lyricism and patriotic works. Рождественский was a laureate of the USSR State Prize and the Lenin Komsomol Prize, and was also a recipient of the Order of Lenin. Many of his poems became the lyrics for popular songs, such as "Эхо любви" and "Мгновения" From 1976, he served as Secretary of the USSR Writers' Union. Рождественский made a significant contribution to the development of Soviet poetry and musical culture.
