Ramsey Lewis (1935–2022) was an American jazz pianist, composer, and radio host. During his career, he recorded over 80 albums, earned five gold records, and won three Грэмми Awards. His album The In Crowd earned him a Грэмми Award in 1965 for Best Jazz Performance. His best-known singles include "The 'In' Crowd" "Wade in the Water" and "Sun Goddess" Until 2009, he hosted a morning show on Chicago radio station WNUA . Ramsey Lewis made a significant contribution to the popularization of jazz, combining traditional and modern elements of the genre.
