
Pete Shelley (1955–2018) was an English singer, songwriter, and guitarist from the United Kingdom. He rose to prominence as a founder of the punk band Buzzcocks , formed in 1976 with Говардом Девото . After Devoto's departure in 1977, Shelley became the band's vocalist and guitarist. Their biggest hit, "Ever Fallen in Love" was released in 1978. After the band's disbandment in 1981, he launched a solo career, releasing the song "Homosapien" which charted in Australasia and Canada. Pete Shelley had a significant influence on the development of punk rock and alternative music.
