Novelist is a British grime MC and music producer from Lewisham, South London. Born in 1997, he rose to prominence as a founding member of Square crew and was nominated for the MOBO Awards Award for Best Grime Act in 2014. DJ Logan Sama called him "the new face of grime" and noted him as "an exemplary child of the first generation of true grime kids." Novelist has made a significant contribution to the genre's development, combining traditional grime elements with a contemporary sound.
