D Double E , real name Даррен Диксон , is a British grime artist from the United Kingdom, born on January 19, 1980. He is a member of the group Newham Generals and is considered one of the pioneers of the genre. Beginning with garage and jungle, D Double E quickly rose to prominence through his performances on pirate radio stations. He later joined the group NASTY Crew , and in 2018, he released his first studio album, Jackuum! which peaked at number 61 on the UK chart. Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with artists such as Skepta , JME , P Money , and ASAP Nast . D Double E has had a significant influence on the development of grime.
