Надежда Бабкина is a Soviet and Russian folk and pop singer, actress, television and radio host, born March 19, 1950. She is known as a folk song researcher and teacher, as well as a political and public figure. Надежда Бабкина is a People's Artist of the RSFSR, People's Artist of the Chechen Republic, and People's Artist of the Republic of Ingushetia. Her achievements include the Lenin Komsomol Prize. Her work encompasses Russian music, and her contribution to the preservation and popularization of folk musical heritage remains significant.
