Moonspell is a Portuguese metal band founded in 1992. Early on, the band played folk/black metal, but their style later evolved into gothic doom metal. Vocalist and lyricist Фернанду Рибейру describes their music as "devil's music." The band released several landmark albums, including "Wolfheart" and "Irreligious" which received acclaim in the metal community. Moonspell made a significant contribution to the development of gothic metal, becoming one of Portugal's most renowned bands in the genre.
