
Mick Karn (real name Антоний Микаэлидис ) was a British rock musician of Greek Cypriot descent, born in 1958. He rose to prominence as the bass player for the band Japan , which made significant contributions to the new wave and synth-pop genres. After Japan disbanded in 1982, Mick Karn launched a solo career, releasing several albums and collaborating with musicians such as Peter Murphy and David Torn . In addition to music, he was a talented sculptor. His unique bass guitar style and contributions to the development of electronic music left a significant mark on the music industry.
