Metropole Orkest is a jazz and pop orchestra from the Netherlands, founded in 1945. It is the largest full-time ensemble of its kind in the world. The orchestra is known for its hybrid lineup, which combines elements of a jazz big band and a symphony orchestra. Its lineup ranges from 52 to 97 musicians, including a unique "double rhythm section" for pop and rock music, as well as jazz. Metropole Orkest has won multiple Грэмми Awards and collaborated with artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Snarky Puppy .
