Marty Friedman (real name Martin Adam Friedman ) is an American musician born on December 8, 1962. He is known as a virtuoso guitarist and co-lead guitarist for the thrash metal band Megadeth , where he played from 1990 to 2000. His contributions to the albums "Rust in Peace" and "Countdown to Extinction" are considered key to the genre.
