Mapei is an American-Swedish rapper and singer born on December 20, 1983. Known for blending pop and electronic influences, she gained international recognition with her 2013 single "Don't Wait", released under Downtown Records. Her debut EP, "The Cocoa Butter Diaries", came out in 2009, also via Downtown Records. On September 23, 2014, she released her first full-length album, "Hey Hey", which showcased her versatility and unique sound.
