Lloyd is an American R&B singer born on January 3, 1986, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in Decatur, Georgia. He began his music career as a member of the boy band N-Toon, formed by Joyce Irby in 1996. After the group disbanded in 2001, Lloyd signed with Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. Records, under Def Jam Recordings, in 2003 to pursue a solo career. His debut single, "Southside," peaked in the Billboard Hot 100 top 40 and led his self-titled album to debut at number 11 on the Billboard 200. His second album, "Street Love," reached number two on the chart, featuring hits like "You" and "Get It Shawty." Lloyd has significantly contributed to modern R&B with his smooth vocals and chart-topping tracks.
