Lee Hi (real name Lee Ha Yi ) is a South Korean singer and songwriter born on September 23, 1996. She rose to fame as a finalist on the first season of the talent show K-pop Star , after which she signed with YG Entertainment . Her debut single, " 1, 2, 3, 4 ", released on October 28, 2012, peaked at number one on the charts, with over 667,000 downloads in its first week. In March 2013, she released her first full-length album, " First Love ", in two parts. Lee Hi has made significant contributions to the popularization of the K-pop and soul genres.
