Lacrimosa is a Swiss gothic metal band founded in 1990. It is led by founder, composer, and vocalist Тило Вольфф , and keyboardist and vocalist Анне Нурми . The project initially began in the darkwave genre, but with the album Inferno the band shifted toward a heavier metal sound with elements of symphonic music. Lacrimosa has released landmark albums such as "Elodia" and "Echos" which have received acclaim in the gothic and metal scenes. The band has made significant contributions to the genre, combining dark lyrics with powerful instrumentation.
