Jungle Brothers is an American hip-hop group formed in the mid-1980s, known as pioneers of jazz rap and early house production in hip-hop. The group, consisting of Mike Gee, Afrika Baby Bam, and later DJ Sammy B (who left in 1997), debuted with the album "Straight Out the Jungle" in 1988. Their Afrocentric lyrics and innovative sound made them leaders of the Native Tongues Posse, a collective of like-minded artists. The group is celebrated for blending hip-hop with electronic and dance music, influencing the genre's evolution significantly.
