Jim Capaldi, born Nicola James Capaldi in 1944 in the United Kingdom, was a British drummer, singer, and songwriter. He was best known as a founding member of the psychedelic rock band Traffic. Throughout his career, Capaldi contributed to the band's success with hits like "Dear Mr. Fantasy" and "The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys". Beyond Traffic, he released several solo albums, including the acclaimed "Oh How We Danced". His work earned him a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of Traffic. Capaldi remains a significant figure in rock history for his contributions to the genre's evolution.
