Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra is a Swedish symphony orchestra founded in 1905 in Gothenburg. Originally known as Göteborgs orkesterförenings orkester , the ensemble has become an important part of Swedish musical life. In 1997, the orchestra received the honorary title of "Swedish National Orchestra."
