
Girls Aloud was a British pop group formed in 2002 through the ITV reality show Popstars: The Rivals. The group consisted of Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, and Nadine Coyle. Over their career, they released 22 singles, five studio albums, two greatest hits compilations, and two remix albums. All their albums achieved platinum certification in the UK. Girls Aloud received five BRIT Awards nominations, winning in 2009 for Best Single with "The Promise". Their polished pop sound and chart success left a lasting impact on the UK pop scene.
