Gerard Way is an American musician, born on April 9, 1977, in the United States. Known as the lead vocalist of the alternative and metal band My Chemical Romance, he has also made a name for himself as a solo artist. His debut solo album, Hesitant Alien, was released on September 30, 2014. Beyond music, Gerard Way is a celebrated comic book writer and co-founder of Young Animal, an imprint of DC Comics. He is the creator of the comic series "The Umbrella Academy", which inspired the popular Netflix adaptation.
