Gary Lucas is an American guitarist, songwriter, and composer born in 1952. He rose to prominence as a member of the band Captain Beefheart and, in 1989, founded his own project Gods and Monsters . Over the course of his career Gary Lucas has released over 50 albums spanning genres such as rock, alternative, and blues. His work includes collaborations with various artists and worldwide touring. Gary Lucas has made a significant contribution to the development of alternative and blues music, remaining a prominent figure on the global scene.
