
Fort Minor was a hip-hop project founded by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park in 2004, collaborating with Styles of Beyond and other musicians. Based in the United States, the project explored alternative hip-hop and rap. Their debut album, The Rising Tied, co-produced with Jay-Z, was released on November 22, 2005. The album reached #51 on the Billboard 200 and #142 on the UK Albums Chart. The 2006 single "Where’d You Go" became a major hit, peaking at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Fort Minor left a lasting mark on alternative hip-hop with its introspective lyrics and innovative production.
