Флетчер Хендерсон (full name: Джеймс Флетчер Гамильтон Хендерсон ) was an American musician and composer born in 1897 in Cuthbert, New York. He is considered one of the founders of traditional jazz. In the 1920s, Флетчер Хендерсон founded one of the first jazz big bands, which had a huge influence on the development of the genre. His orchestra collaborated with legends such as Луи Армстронг and recorded many famous compositions, including "Sugar Foot Stomp" and "King Porter Stomp" Хендерсон also made a significant contribution to the development of swing, becoming musical director of the Бенни Гудмана Orchestra.
