Fats Navarro (real name Theodore Navarro) was an American jazz trumpeter, born in 1923 in Key West, USA. He is considered one of the pioneers of bebop and had a significant influence on the development of jazz music. Fats Navarro collaborated with such prominent musicians as Charlie Parker , Dizzy Gillespie , and Bud Powell . His most famous recordings include the compositions "Nostalgia" and "Our Delight." Despite his short career, which ended with his death in 1950, he left an indelible mark on jazz, inspiring many subsequent generations of musicians.
